Map & Data Products 1. What type of products does your Map & Data store have? The products are of four types. CD Maps, Digital Maps, Digital Data & Paper Maps. 2. What is the difference between these product types ? To know the difference between these products types, click here. 3. Which format do you deliver these products in and which software do I need, to display, edit or print your various product types ? CD Maps are displayed in .jpeg or .gif format and these can be displayed or printed using Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc. Digital Maps are vector maps that are delivered in MapInfo file format. On specific request, these can be delivered in Autocad DXF or ArcInfo Shape file formats. You can display, edit or print these maps using MapInfo Professional, Autocad Map, ArcInfo respectively. Digital Data products are tabular data products and are delivered in Excel format. These can be displayed on Excel spreadsheets or any other software that reads Excel data format. Paper Maps are delivered in hardcopy format.

Ordering Information / RFQ 1. What is RFQ? RFQ stands for Request for Quote. You will have to request for quote for all those items in the map & data store that do not have published prices. When these products are listed you will see a request for quote button. Clicking on this button will add this product to your RFQ Cart. 2. How do I see what all items are there in RFQ cart? Click on RFQ Cart and you will see all the products that you have requested a quote for. 3. How do I send in my request for quote to you? Go to RFQ cart and press submit. You will be given a RFQ number. An e-mail at your e-mail address will confirm the receipt of your request for quote. 4. How do I place an order after I receive quotes for the items requested? Once you have received the quotation for the items you requested, you can directly go to our order form, enter the RFQ number and fill out the items you want. The order will be processed in exactly the way an on-line order gets processed.

5. How do I place an order? The quickest way to place an order is by using our on-line shopping cart. Next to the description of every product in mappls.com, there is either an "Buy It Now" option or "Request for Quote" option. If it is the former then you can click the option and the item will go directly into the "shopping cart', just as if you were putting something in your shopping cart in a grocery store. You will then be given an option to continue shopping or to checkout. 6. How can I see what orders I placed in my shopping cart? Anytime during your session on your site you can click on "Shop Cart" which is either at the top or at the bottom of each page. It will take you to your shopping cart which shows a list of items you ordered, the price of each item as well as total bill and other ordering information. 7. How  is an On-Line order processed? On-Line orders are downloaded from the server each morning, and the orders for which payment has been received are processed for shipment at our business office in New Delhi. Items are then placed on our server for you to download and you are sent the appropriate notification at your email.  8. What if the product displays "Request For Quote" and not "Buy It Now"? The product will display Request for Quote only if its price is not published on the net. In that case you may click "Request for Quote" link and the product gets added to your RFQ cart. 9. What methods of payment can I use to pay for my order?

Sales Tax may be charged depending on the rules existing at the time of order. 11. Do you give discounts for volume orders? Yes, The discount will have to be computed on per order basis, and it will depend on the items and the quantities that you would like to receive. The best way to receive the information on quantity discounts is to send an e-mail to customer service describing the products and how many you would like to order and the corresponding discount will be notified to you. 12. How can I be sure that my online order was received by you ? Once you submit your online order, you will receive an e-mail confirmation for the same. Otherwise please e-mail again to customer service so that we can assist you in placing the order and solving any problems that may have occurred. 13. Why are shipping charges not given when I place my order? Shipping charges are order specific, hence will be informed to you depending on the order you Place. At present these charges are: Shipping & Handling charges within India - Rs. 100/- per item. Outside India - *$20/- per item.
