The pilot project for computerization of external plant system was started first in M.P. Telecom Circle at Dewas SSA. Respected Chief General Manager Bhopal, Shri P. P. Khare, inaugurated it on 21st February 2002.
The job was given to CE Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi, which has provided Mappls TeleConvergence.
In this project CE Info Systems has provided all facilities & other external plant management system data to facilitate the company to computerize geographically all external plant cable network, cable length / type of cable, DP location, area location addresses, cable pair no., cabinet pillar no., verticals, MDF vertical, DP tag nos. and all other external plants data.
The GIS based computerization of External Plant system not only provides all external data at one place, but it also helps all officers and field staff with their day to day maintenance of external plant & speedy clearance of cable faults.
